About
Snow Angel Glass
I thought I was on my way to becoming a professional journalist
writing sex columns in Philadelphia when I went home to the Jersey
Shore and saw glassblowing for the first time. The bug bit me hard
and I had to learn how to do this magical craft, so I packed my dog
and some sweaters and left to pursue my passion in the Green Mountains
of Vermont. I did a brief stint at Church and Maple Studio in
Burlington, trading labor for lessons. Eventually leaving to work
for Alan Goldfarb Glass as an assistant. Aching to touch
more glass every day I soon moved to the beautiful upper valley in
Eastern Vermont to work for Simon Pierce Glass Factory (boot camp
for glassblowers). Three years, and many burns later, I scored my
dream job at Little River Hot Glass Studio in Stowe, where I’ve
been working for the past fours years blowing their ornaments and
assisting on stemware. Interacting with hot glass every day is heavenly
and all I really want from my life.
Upon
the requests of many friends I began creating ornamental glass wedding
gifts. Each one is unique, reflecting the personalities of my loved
ones on their special day as well as their wedding guests. Whimsical,
fun and adorable, these balls brighten up any room as well as look
lovely hanging from Christmas trees. Snow Angel Glass is an extension
of both my love for my profession, my life, and bringing happiness
to those I am creating them for.
Glassblowing brings me so much joy, teaches me something new every
day and gives me such satisfaction knowing I can create objects for
people to love whenever they set their eyes on them. They are my
legacy long after I'm gone.
